Code of Conduct / 2022-2023

 

While attending school during regular hours or during school activities, trips, and visits students are expected to follow these basic rules, procedures, and expectations:

 

  1. Your first priority at school is to learn. Avoid distractions.
  2. Be in the assigned place with appropriate material, and on time.
  3. Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself and never intentionally harm another student.
  4. Use appropriate language and behavior at all times.
  5. Be polite and respectful to everyone including students, teachers, administrators, support staff, and visitors.
  6. Follow the teacher instructions, class rules, and expectations at all times.
  7. Do not be a bully. If you see someone being bullied, immediately report it to school personnel.
  8. Do not become a distraction for others. Give every other student the opportunity to maximize their potential. Encourage your fellow students.
  9. School attendance and participation in class are essential parts of the educational process. Regular attendance at school is necessary for student success. Furthermore, it allows students to achieve the maximum possible benefits from their educational experience. All students are encouraged to be present. School attendance is the responsibility of both parents and students.
  10. Represent yourself in a manner that you will be proud of in ten years. You only get one opportunity to get life right. Take advantage of the opportunities you have at school. They will help you be successful throughout your life.
  11. Be honest at all times.
  12. Keep your school clean- no littering.
  13. No re-entry to the school building during break.

 

Students and teachers are expected to greet each other with kind words and in an appropriate tone, and should remain respectful. The majority of student/teacher interaction should be positive.

 

All school personnel and students are expected to use the following words that show respect for another person at the appropriate times when addressing each other:

 

(Please, Thank You, You're Welcome, Excuse Me, May I Help You, Yes Sir, No Sir or Yes Ma'am, No Ma'am)

 

The School Principal will carefully examine and weigh all evidences and make what is the best possible way to deter the student from making the same mistake twice.

Following are types of Discipline Practices at AUSME:

 

Verbal Warning, Written Warning, Parent Conference, Expulsion, Detention, Suspension

 

e.g. recess detention or after school detention such as (writing sentences, picking up trash, working on a homework, reading a book, or simply sitting quietly for the required time).
